Welcome to Erie – A Town on The Rise
Erie has a lot to offer, from it’s beautiful bay-front to it’s revitalized downtown. Home to several museums, a planetarium and a thriving cultural arts district which includes a minor league state-of-the-art ball field which plays home to the Erie Seawolves.
Many major concerts and other 1st rate entertainment events are held in The Erie Insurance Arena which also plays home to the Erie BayHawks Basketball and Erie Otters Ice Hockey Teams. You’ll witness firsthand, the humble beginnings of future legends in the sporting world.
Erie likes to boast about their top notch arts, with the Warner Theater, and the Mary D’Angelo Performing Arts Center on Mercyhurst campus.
We have a robust foodie scene that not only can boast about all the diverse restaurants, but also the numerous brew-pubs, distilleries and clubs located within walking distance of the revitalized downtown area.
Horse Racing enthusiasts will want to visit Presque Isle Downs and Casino – The name tells most of the story but does not mention it’s several fabulous restaurants.
A visit to Presque Isle State Park is a must! Whether winter or summer, the beautiful nature scenes are something to behold! In 2016, USA Today named it “The Best Freshwater Beach” in the US.
You might want to end the day on Sunset Beach which National Geographic calls “a world class spectacular sunset”.
